How do you know if your humit crab is dead?

hmm... ive never heard of a humit crab before. Maybe if you could spell this would be easier. Try throwing him at a wall. Really, Really hard. I Guarantee he'll be dead.

if its dead it would not move or anything and then after a few days he'd smell funny :S    lol

he's not dead, he's moved out! or moulting to be precise, you should supply shells (clean of course, incase of parasites) of all different sizes for when this happens.

you can get painted or novelty ones from some shops, its quite cool :D

dont worry though! u might wanna do some research on it just for the future :D

If you run over it with your car it's dead.

pick it up and put it in water if its alive you can tell if its dead it wont move or it will fall out of the shell. and it will smell bad if its dead.

Ahh, I love Hermit Crabs ;) If he isn't moving at all, and is just lifeless, he's dead. But put a new bigger shell in - He's probably just changed shells!

Sounds like he's too big for his shell and needs a bigger one. Unless of course he's not moving. That's hermit crab.

I had a hermit crab and it died. It was all curled up and hiding under the hut I got him. I really think your hermit crab is molting and you need to get him/her a new shell.

mine started to smell bad when they died, just make sure you leave bigger shells in there so they can move in when they get bigger, and im sure you have all the other necessity's

If he's not in the shower or eating your food from the fridge, then he's dead or fired from another job.
