How do you know if your hyperextended?

  1. look in a full length mirror. face your stomach to the side.

    straighten your legs and don't arch your back (stand up perfectly straight).

    if your legs (when locked) aren't a perfect vertical line (as in, the back of your knee protrudes out), that's a sign.

    also, two other ways to tell:

    1) stand in first position (but take a small 2-4-inch step to the side and lock your legs. If the backs of your knees are touching each other, you're hyper extended. (make sure you turn out and your knees are on top of your toes)

    2) Sit as though you're doing a hamstring stretch with both legs out in front (or apart in a straddle position), if you lock your legs (don't lift your thighs off the ground) and the back of your knees are on the ground but your ankles are not, you are hyperextended.


  2. nooo if your standing and your knee goes out farther than it is suppost to in the back.

  3. if when you straighten your elbows and knees, they can keep straightening past 180 degrees and arc like a banana

  4. When people are hyperextended, their legs and arms bend the opposite way its supposed to.
