How do you know if your man is about to propose?

i would so love to marry my boy friend. We've already seriously talked about moving in together & will do one day. He was not married to his kid's mother & always made out he's dead against it. I've been married and would do it again (to him anyway!) We had a conversation a few weeks ago & i said i would marry him if he asked, to which he was quite surprised. Several times i hve caught him looking at my ring finger when he holds my hand and plays with the ring on my middle finger, Yesterday we went out for a meal and i commented i'd forgotten to put my rings on. He then said I've never bought u a ring what size r u. I said it depends which finger it goes on! His reply was - ok, dont get carried away yet! What do you think he's thinking?!

I think he is going to propose but don't get to cocky! He might not...

Honestly, he may or may not be thinking about proposing.  Remember, he was very surprised when you said you will marry him IF he asks.  As he said, don't get carried away.  That will be a turn off.  Just wait it out.  Act normal.  No pressure.

Sounds like maybe he is thinking about it, but don't think about it too much.  Its soooo much better when it is a complete surprise!

He may just want to make it seem like he's not about to propose and then all of a sudden surprise!!!! :)

His reply was "Ok, don't get carried away yet!"  I'd say he's still on the fence.  He's also made out he's dead against it?  That should tell you not to hold your breath.
