There is a smell out in my backyard, but there is no wet spots or anything like that. How would I know if there is something wrong with it? Thanks!

  1. The most common symptom of tank problems is water coming up thru the ground.  If you know where your tank is and it's dry around it, the smell is probably from somewhere else.  Perhaps a dead animal?

  2. As long as your plumbing is not backing up, don't worry about it.

  3. Might be a good idea to "feed" it to prevent trouble. Water level must be high if you smell it outside.

  4. You might need your septic pumped out.
