How do you know that you are ready to move out of your parents house?

That's a tough one. I guess it's when you're mature enough, you can look after yourself, and you're financially secure. Also, when you really want your freedom...

I'm 18 and I haven't moved out yet. I plan to finish uni first, get a job and take it from there :p

When you can't stand them anymore and they can't stand you anymore. Hopefully, you'll be gainfully employed by then.

When you can support yourself.

When you can pay your bills and have got most of your basic education out of the way.

When you have a good network of friends.

When you can support yourself on your own and not move in with someone else who will pay the bills.

When you are looking to broaden your horizons.

When you are ready to start maturing and begin an independent life.

When you're independent.. and you have enough money for a house or apartment, and to pay the bills, and for the groceries..

Being alone takes some getting used to, so that's one feeling you can't really rely on. I'd say once you have the ability to care for yourself financially, you're set to go.
