How do you know that you have hit rock bottom .... and that the only way is up?

Only kidding, I think it is when you feel something supporting you and a christian would call it "The Rock" and would also say the best way to look is up.

When you realise you cant remember who/what/when/where.

A (genuine) failed suicide attempt is usually a good indication.

There is no bottom. You can just keep sinking. Knowing that the only way is up is something you have to decide for yourself. Make it happen.

I don't think you always do know it at the time - My head thinks it has the  executive position but I think the subconscious knows who is really quietly boss -

I was rock bottom at fourteen but didn't know it at the time - I can pinpoint it now inretrospect but at the tiem didn't know the importance.

I  made a momentous life saving decision then to stop dissociating or at least to try - It wasn t an overnight success and we were barking mad for years to come but the seed had been sown to accept life.

Some people have a revelation others don't as the change isnt immediate just stems from that rock bottom  place
