That's a broad question. A person viewed as a genius today may not be a genius tomorrow. Why are the geniuses of yesterday viewed as geniuses today? Because someone said so. Why is the color red, called red? Because someone said so. How do we know that the science of today is right and the science of yesterday is wrong? We don't. But you know why people believe it? Because someone said so. A genius is just a meaningless label that people use to categorize and seperate others with. What makes people think they have the power or authority to label someone as a genius? The criteria and definition of a "genius" is something made up by society. It's always changing. Someone may be a "genius" today, and an "idiot" tomorrow. My point is, you arn't a genius just because someone said so.

Well, first of all, a genius would spell "you're" right. And secondly, an IQ test would give you a ball park range of where you are at compared to the rest of the world. A person with an IQ of 100 is considered average.

A I.Q. test helps but they're not always accurate. Not the ones given online.

I.Q. Tests are given at Universities, Colleges, Labs. Mostly to see who is applied for certain places. To be an official Genius you would need an accurate IQ test. The ones online are not accurate, unless given by an authorized professor.

The dictionary defines a genius as anyone with an IQ above 140. If you go by that standard my whole family is composed of "geniuses". Bear in mind that different IQ tests will give you different scores.
