  1. Agree. Every day is too much. The rest depends on the plant and conditions (sun, light, etc.)

  2. House plants, patio plants or plants in the ground?

    House plants usually only need water every one to two weeks. Water when the soil feels dry about one inch down.

    I water my patio plants every day when it's hot.

    Plants in the ground will usually tell you when they need water but all are different in their drought tolerance. Water when they start to look 'not so perky'. They might start to droop and that is your sign to get some water asap before they pass the wilting point.

  3. Yellow = too much water

    Brown = not enough water

    If the leaves are yellow then you are watering it too much.  Give it a break and it should be fine.

  4. EEEEK  ..certainly not  every day  ...too much  love!!   can you heft the planter??if its light it's dry...heavy is wet..real heavy is too !#@! wet and will kill the plant tootsweet ...   all plants will survive too little water better than too much (well, there ARE pond plants....)   when needing water , they will droop  DRYLY   not droop cause they are so full of water they are rotting....   its best to let the top couple inches get dry dry dry  before adding water...I water most of my plants every couple of WEEKS  and they are in all sizes of pots and are doing fine ...good luck (to the plants!)

  5. Stick your finger in the dirt. If it is wet, it is too much. if it is damp , it is ok. If it is dry, not enough. You vcan overwater a plant, and that is what i think you are doing. Good luck.

  6. Feel the soil, if the soil is somewhat damp they should be getting enough water, if it's dry they're underwatering.
