  1. It works the same way.  Your ticket will tell you which terminal you need to be in, and they will have different gate numbers.  Just go to the Terminal and Gate number indicated on the ticket.  When they start boarding, the gate (a desk) will have a sign lit up with the flight number and the destination.  They will also page overhead as they start boarding the plane by row number (also indicated on your ticket).

  2. they give you a flight number and a gate number on your ticket.  when you get to the airport, make sure you go to the correct terminal for the airline you're flying on.  go inside, there are electronic signs everywhere that show you what flights are at what gate.  then look overhead and there are hanging signs that tell you which gates are which direction.  when in doubt, ask anyone from a janitor to a pilot.  most people are very helpful.

  3. Your ticketing info will tell you a terminal number and a flight number. The terminal nu,ber will be well signposteda s you approach the airport.

Once inside the terminal, the big screens will have al ist of all the flight numbers leaving. Find yours, and it will tell you which area to check in ( a desk number or row number which will all be marked by clear signage)

Go to the checkin area assigned and you will be able to check in for teh flight at which point they will give you a boarding card with a gate number (maybe any number or maybe letters and numbers like Gate 10 or gate B4 depending on the airport.)

Go from here to security (well signposted 'Departures' or 'Security')

Once through security, you are now what is called 'airside' and can follow the numbers to the correct gate.

Occasionally when you check in early, the gate has not been assigned yet so you get a boarding pass and look at the big screens once you are 'airside' and it will coem up in plenty of time telling you which gate. Make sure you are at the gate area in plenty of time - usually 30 minutes at VERY least before the flight departs - make it more to be sure!

  4. all airlines leave from a GATE, so when you book in you will be given a boarding pass which gives you details of, gate number, boarding time, flight number, and seat number. all you neet to do is procede to the clearly signed gate number on your ticket, where the boarding pass is checked and you proceed to a boarding room at that gate till time to board the aircraft. its so easy, dont worry about anything, just give yourself plenty of time if its your first flight

  5. These days, you can't get on the wrong plane. Just head to the gate listed on your boarding pass and they will scan it for you. An alarm on their computer will go off if you are at any gate other than the one you SHOULD be at.

    Have a nice flight!

  6. Every flight has a number assigned, and when you check-in, you receive your boarding pass with this number on it. There are screens all around the airport, much like train stations, and they have the flight number and destination listed, and once a gate number is allocated, it is put on the screens next to your destination and flight number. A gate number is much like a platform at a railway station and there are signs all around airports directing you to the individual gates, once you're at your gate, there is a waiting room, and the plane generally will be sat right by your gate area, with a door and tunnel to access the plane directly. Or at some airports, a coach will pull up at your gate which will take you to your plane.
