  1. All tin cans, glass containers, newspaper and cardboard are recyclable however when in comes to plastics some recyclers cannot process certain types.

    Every plastic container has a triangle embossed on the bottom. Inside the triangle is a number. Most recyclers will accept 1s and 2s but not other numbers. It all comes down to the compounds that the plastic container is made of.

  3. Your city, or garbage pick up service should have a list of things that can or can't be recycled. It is always best to check directly with them about things like electronic equipment and glass.

  4. all recylable materials have a code on them. It is a symbol with three arrows forming a triangle. Look on some plastic or aluminum soda cans and you'll see it. It is on almost everything!

On the website in the waste/garbage/recycling section, you should be able to find information on what you can recycle. It may be helpful to print it out for future reference. If you cannot find such information online, inquire via phone or e-mail.
