  1. teachers put levels togther by looking at the dancer and seeing their pottential and the level of skill and technique. they gather a few dancers that are about the same and put them in. intermediate 2 is pretty good i means that your not dead center in your dance studios rank but your not one of the best.  I am in the advanced class in my studio and i am a soloist in my studios nutcracker=]

  2. my syllabus goes:

beginners, pre primary, primary, grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, grade 4, grade 5, grade 6, pre elementry, elementry, intermediate, advanced.

  3. Wow thats really different to what we have! We move up a grade each year. At the moment im in intermediate (eleventh year), but i think its different to what you have. With terms such as "intermediate" so commonly used for different things, there could be a lot of confusion. It would probably be best to ask your dance teacher directly what level you are:

    1. Pre Primary

    2. Primary

    3. Grade 1

    4. Grade 2

    5. Grade 3

    6. Grade 4

    7. Grade 5

    8. Pre Elementary

    9. Elementary

    10. Pre Intermediate

    11. Intermediate

    12. Advanced

  4. Well its different in all studios.

    Like my studio's levels are:

Level 1- just beginning. doing basic steps

Level 2- better, just need better technique on basic steps. start leaps/jumps

Level 3- have good technique/understand basic steps easily. ready for challenge

Level 4- can easily do basic steps, hard exercises, great technique, height in all jumps/leaps, etc.

    I'm in level three.

But it's hard to say because all studios are different.

  5. i am in ballet III this year but im not going to do ballet this year

    kinder ballet/preschool- for little kids

    ballet 1- better

    ballet 2-doing good

intermediate 2 - means that your probably too good for ballet 2 but not yet ready for ballet 3

    ballet 3- i'm in 2nd from best

    ballet 4- best

ive been doing ballet for 8 yrs

trust me i think i no what im talking about

    hope this help

email me 4 further dance ?s
