Answer these  questions Honestally, but it might be better to ask the ski teachers first.

  2. 1. Never skied before

    2. Turn both ways and stop on command on a beginner slope, ready to ride a beginner lift.

    3. Ride the beginner lift, ski and turn both ways and stop am comfortable on the beginner lift.

    4. Ski turns on most slopes with a wedge christy, can ride and ski the intermediate (blue) runs.

    5. Use wedge christy any time and an open parallel most times, comfortable on any blue and some black runs. I can hold a ski on edge and stand on that ski while moving down the hill.

    6. I can ski with confidence on any blue and some black runs.

This is a very basic idea of what level you might be some areas and schools use different criteria. The numbering system was

    1. no experience

    9. You name it, I ski it in a controlled dynamic parallel position at all times.

The other 7 numbers are more a gradation of skills.

  3. you need to be more specific on your question because there could be a variety of answers to that.

  4. Every ski hill has their trails graded on different difficulty levels.  Ask yourself, honestly, what is the most challenging terrain I feel most comfortable.

Traditionally, the difficulty levels are listed as follows:

Green Circle = Beginner (new skier/snowboarder)

Blue Square = Intermediate (a little steeper/more challenging)

Black Diamond = Advanced (hope you learned the "hockey stop")

Double Black Diamond = Expert Only!!! (hope you packed a parachute)
