I am looking into getting a new helmet but I'm ordering it. When I got my old one it was from our tack store and the guy just brought out the size he thought I'd need. But now I'm not sure what size i will need. If it makes any differance this is the one I'm looking into getting. http://www.shopatron.com/product/product_id=DEV1002*/406.0

  1. get a tape measure and measure the diameter of your head where the helmet would end...

    20in=6 1/2

    20.5in=6 5/8

    21in=6 3/4

    21.5in=6 7/8

    22in=7

    22.5in=7 1/8

    23in=7 1/4

    23.5in=7 3/8

    24in=7 1/2

    24.5in=7 5/8

    25in=7 3/4

  2. Try them until one fits your headsize.

  3. You may still be able to read the size in your existing hat.  If not go to a tack store and try a few on, different brands can fit slightly differently and be more or less comfortable depending on your head shape.  Then once you know what type and size you are just say you need to think about it and leave the tack store.  Go home and order it.  Cheeky but you are not obliged to buy from the shop you tried them on in.

  4. you try them on

  5. Take a tap measure or something and measure the size around of your head. It should do it. Alll baseball caps and cowboy hats also come in different sizes and thats what I had to do to order my boyfriends hat. :)
