How do you know what size you are in spain?

Question

How are the sizes in spain for women's clothing? What sizes are misses, petites, and plus size?

I was wondering what size 3 is in Spain? The american size 3.

Also, what is a size 12?

What about plus sizes, what is a size 22?

Lots of clothes show the size in US, EU and UK

I know that UK 12 is US 10 and EU 40

size 3 in Spain is about 32-34 - it's very small, in fact size 32 is a child size really.

Size US 22 is size 54 in Spain

Some or your US clothing may just have international tags in them.  That would be one way.  Another is to just try things on.

If you are trying to buy from a catalogue you're in more trouble, though.

I think everything is completely metric, so there aren't really size groups, like misses and women's

But I can tell you that I am pretty sure that a US 12 is about 44 in Europe.

It might be that you just measure your bust for tops and dresses (or waist for pants/skirts) and the cm is your size.  That's how shoes work.  I usually buy t shirts and sweatshirts, so, s, m, l, and xl, are all I need to go, and I go a size up in Spain, because they are pretty small there.  I bought an XL sweatshirt last year, and it fits a bit tighter than one bought here would.
