  1. Great question. I can't explain how I see red, but it is a dark orange. Who knows, someone else might see blue for red

  2. You don't.

I ask this question all the time.

There is no way of knowing this, ever.

  3. Because colors are spectrums of light and the red spectrum is ALWAYS red. The rods and cones in our eyes are all built the same, so we will always see the spectrums similarly.

  4. You are just a figment of my imagination.....

prepare to cease to exist as I forget you, forever.........

  5. I've wondered about this for years and apparently we don't know. Colors are relative to how we view then. My red is likely not your red.

  6. philosophical question..... the only thing we know is that we know nothing

  7. you dont...just the way it is

  8. The best way to know is the stoplights at the corner.  Red is red on those lights.

So, if you see that as plain red, then you see it the same as most people.  However, if you don't see that as red, then you don't see it like the majority of people.

I see that light as red but when it comes to lighter pinks and purples that's where I know I go a little off course.  My kids and I see things differently.  *grin*

  9. i already know its not the same. im colorblind.

  10. Try this site: http://www.archimedes-lab.org/colorblind...

It has the standard tests for colorblindness.  By filtering out colors, it will let you know which ones you see, and which ones are different for you.

It can work in varying degrees as well.  My son can see the pure colors.  But, 'lavender" looks blue to him, since he can't see the red in it.

    Good luck!

  11. Because of the anatomy of the eye.  The rods and cones in our eyes work the same in most cases, except color blind, or blind people, but that is due to a problem with the cones and rods in most cases.
