How do you know when a female dwarf Gourami is ALL the way ripe with eggs???

I have a female gourami I am trying to breed and I is my first time. She is fat, but I don't know how fat they have to get before they can release their eggs??? DO you know??? HELP!!!!

you should see a bubble nest in the fish bowl and at this stage you should take the male out. and when the female fish is ready she will let her eggs out. so what i'm pretty much telling you is that there's not an exact thing to look for.

If she was ready to breed than the male should have made a bubble nest and courted her. Than if she approved of the nest and of the male she would release eggs and at the same time the male would fertilize them. You should locate the bubble nest the male created and see if the eggs are present in the nest or not. I would also recommend that you do some research on the fish before you try and raise the fry as they can be difficult to learn how to take care of the right way.
