How do you know when you are ready for first baby?

Please no "only you can decide" responses!

I just want to know how you decided or knew when the time was right. Sometimes, I feel like today is the day (very rarely--mostly right after friends give birth), sometimes I feel like 3-5 years is the time, and sometimes I feel like we should wait 10 years.

I am a 25 year old attorney and my husband is a 26 year old CPA. We are very financially stable and money is not an issue. Thanks for any tips!

Since you are financially stable, then I think now is the time, you dont want to wait too long because its not fair on the child to have old parents, good luck

Well, honestly, you are never really ready.  I would say if your relationship is stable and you both know that you are ready to further strengthen and deepen your bond with each other then you are as ready as you will ever be.  Having children is both a wonderful thing and a very difficult thing.  It will stretch and challenge you in so many different areas within your marriage.  My husband and I just had our second baby and although there are very hard times where you just want to scream, it is all so worth it.  I wouldn't change a thing!  Good luck.

When you think about it all the time. When you cant not look at a little baby and smile then wonder for a good 30 minutes when you will be a mommy

When you find yourself going to the baby section of any store and looking through it.

When you find it entertainment to watch the birthing Channels.

You should know what it feels like to want. now when do you want to have your first?
