  1. This is the tricky part, because you may or may not have a 28-30 day cycle after bc.  My first month of bc was 51 days and I didn't ovulate until 40 days off bc.  You might ovulate after two weeks, everyone's different.  Take your temp each morning to confirm you ovulated.  Also, pay attn to your cervical mucus.  If it is dry or sticky you are probably not fertile.  If it creamy or like egg whites you might be fertile and you should try then.

  2. For some women, a normal cycle will come the month following dicontinuing BC, for others, it takes a couple months. I would say by month 3 you should be back on track. Dependant on how long you were on BC, it could take upto a year+ for you to get pregnant. It all is based on your individual body, environment (stress, etc), and diet.

If you want to know when you ovulate... next time you have a period, start tracking your basal temp. It will spike by 3 degrees (typical) when you ovulate and will remain at a higher than normal temp. until the day before or of your next cycle or, will remain high until you deliver a baby. Typically a woman will ovulate mid-way through her cycle, for cycles that are every 28 days she will ovulate around day 14, if her cycle is every 30 days, she will ovulate around day 15, etc. YOu can always buy over the counter ovulation tests or a digital fertility monitor to track ovulation.

    Good luck!
