How do you know when you have a frozen shoulder?

I have been in agony since November last year with an excrutiating pain in the upper part of my left arm. At first, I thought I had pulled a muscle, but as the months went on, the pain was more intense. I had an X-ray recently and nothing showed up on it. My doctor has now diagnosed a frozen shoulder, but the pain seems more in my bicep than shoulder. I feel the odd twinge in the shoulder joint. I now know which way I can move my arm (although painful when driving). I did ask my doctor for a scan but he said it was not needed. How do they recognise a frozen shoulder?

  3. do you have icicles hanging from your armpit?

  4. By the ice flakes on the shoulder and it won't defrost.

  5. YOU already have common sense. This you must exercise your 'brain power' immediately. I want for you to get a second opinion. Don't tell your doctor what you are doing. I have worked in a doctor's office and know that you must NOT tell your doctor that you question his judgement. The next doctor will only call your present doctor. Your doctor will give him his 'opinion' and you will be charged for absolutely nothing. Peace!

  6. Is it your mouse-clicking arm, by any chance?
