I've had some wisdom teeth coming in for what seems like ages.

How do you know when they are impacted? Sometimes, i'll get a mild toothache, maybe once a month...

I feel like they are coming in straight, (when I feel with my tongue), How long is it supposed to take though?

  1. It can take several years for them to come fully out.. at least with mine it took about 2 years just for me to feel em a little. But what did come out was starting to push my teeth to the front.

If you're having pain in the back of your mouth. It's cutting teeth and it hurts! It was very unbearable for me so that and the pushing of my teeth made me and my dentist want to get rid of them.

It's up to you, really. Some people keep em.. some don't.

  2. when a dentist says you need to get them pulled then you should get them pulled

  3. Unless there is a major problem I would suggest waiting until they actually fully came in, although this is something that should be discussed with your dentist... All my kids had theirs removed between the ages of 18 and 23...Our family seems to have small jaw lines and there wasn't much room for the wisdom teeth so they kept pushing on all the other teeth and jamming them together... If they are pulled to soon then the teeth will spread out and you will have gaps in your front teeth...so next dental visit voice your concern...

  4. My wisdom teeth were impacted 'n I knew that because it felt like I was teethin' in a way. I always had a bad ache. Thought I didn't have them yet 'n thought they'd eventually pop out, we'll learned they were impacted... sideways. Ouch! U should go see ur dentist asap.. doesn't sound like their comin' in straight, sounds like same thing I had.
