How do you tell how many months along she is?

What are some symptoms she is going to have them soon?

How do you tell if she has gone into labor?

ANY info on pregnant guinea pigs is welcome! :)

Thanks :P

(And no she is not to old to have babies for the first time!)

  1. .. A female guinea pig is pregnant for 68-72 days, and in the later stages of her pregnancy you will be able to see the shape of the babies and feel them moving around. Don't handle her during this time unless it is unnecessary as it will cause her discomfort.

if she's under sixth months of age or it's her second litter then you don't need to do much, other than put some extra hay in her cage so she has somewhere comfy to lay down. She'll probably have the babies overnight or any other time you're not around, but if you do hear her go into labour - listen to make sure she isn't struggling.

    hope i helped

  4. If you were a responsible breeder, you'd have known all of these things before breeding her. Please stop backyard breeding, there are enough guinea pigs in shelters and rescues.

  5. Seems to me that a responsible breeder would know the answers to this.
