How do you know when your chihuaha is about to go into labor?

my chihuha is pregnant and has been acting weird lately

I'm assuming you are an AKC-Registered breeder who has a champion-bred Chihuahua who meets breed standard. :)

Consult your BREEDER MENTOR and s/he might be able to help you.

Otherwise, SPAY YOUR DOG if she's still in the early stages of pregnancy. Dog's gestation period lasts 63 days.

I don't mean to be rude or to jump to conclusions, but why wasn't this prepared for a lot better?

Chihuahuas can need c-sections.  If you aren't even sure what to look for if she's in distress, she, and the pups, will likely die.

In general, the 8itch starts denning, may get agitated, and her temperature will drop.

Please, call your vet and talk with them.  And visit http://www.learntobreed.com

In 2 months, please get this dog fixed.  2 million + dogs die in shelters each year.

When she becomes restless.She will stay in an soft and safe area to give birth.She will also start to pant.You should watch her.If the labor lasts over a 6 hour pireod you should probaply help her to push.She have dificilty giving birth.If she takes way to long take her to the vet birth for a dog her size is serious.

p.s you don`t have to get your dog fixed if u don`t want too.
