  1. The skin gets a dull look, eyes turn very hazed, and get very pissy and don't eat. They get mad b/c they can't see and don't know what is going on so they are more likely to attack.

DO NOT stress it out at this point. Let it be if you think it is until it sheds. If it rejects food keep track, b/c sometimes balls have problems with eating and can throw up and die. I've seen it before.

  2. when its eyes turn cloudiesh it is going to shed soon

  3. the eyes will get cloudy and he will get darker and some of them will start to get pink underbellies. make sure to raise the humidity when you see these signs

  4. when their eyes get a foggy look to them, trust me i watch animal planet, oh and i saw this tip if they all ready shead the whole skin and they still have old skin on their eye that they cant get off take some scotch tape and put it on the eye and rip it of like how you would rip a band aid off [really fast], i wanted you to know just in case it happens! ! ! better be safe than sorry

  5. Their eyes get cloudy.

  6. Well some signs are, 1) their eyes get cloudy(blue-ish) 2) their belly is usually pink.

Well after their eyes fades from the cloudiness then it should only take them about a week or so to finish the whole shedding process.

Also I would recommend putting something in the cage for him/her to get a hold of it so she/he can pull her/his skin off. Maybe a half log for her(to shed and also for a home) or a medium sized rock. But you don't really need it because most snakes could just use the side of a tank to shed(that's what my red tail boas and ball pythons did)

Also during the shedding process, most likely she/he wouldn't eat so it would be fine. Just give her/him a week after that and she/he should be eating again. And if she/he doesn't, it alright too. Ball pythons usually are very picky eaters and they can survive up to a few weeks(even up to a year) without eating. So it's nothing to worry about. Just let her/him be for a week and then things should be back to normal.

Also if you want him/her to shed whole then I would raise the humidty or soak them in a tub/container for about an hours and that should work.

If you have done your research about all of this then that's wonderful too! Sorry for all the info then =[

Hope this could help you! Email me if you have any more questions =]

  7. when there eyes turn a milky blue color i had a python

  8. thee skin gets discolored

  9. turns a milky color and the eyes too stops eating also it make it easier for them to shed if they soak in the water bowl

  10. my ball sheds almost 1-3 months maybe 1-2 eyes turn bluesh whitesh color only way to know for me ^.^

  11. Your snake should look opaque or have a whitish-blue tinge to it's scales. Try not to handle your snake too much during this process and bump your humidity up to 60% or mist the walls twice daily until you achieve a complete shed.

Here is an excellent ball python care sheet that I refer clients to:

Good luck, have fun and keep asking questions.
