There are several games on at 1pm (and my local team is not one of them). So how do I know which game will be shown in my area?

  1. Get a copy of your local TV guide.

  2. The team that is neariest to your local area is the game you be seeing.

For example. West Virginia-Aurburn. The USC-Texas game as an example. If you live in the Eastern to the southeastern half of the US

you'll be watching the WVU-Aurburn game. As if your out west you'll see the USC-Texas game. These games are designed to viewed by your local area, therefore making more ratings for the media.

  3. I usually check my local listings. I can go to my local network affiliate's website, look in the local newspaper, or even on the guide that is included with any satellite or cable package.

    Who would have thought?

  4. depends on where you live. if you're close to one of the teams playing, you're probably in that area where it will be shown. if not, you'll get the game that is the "game of the week" that will be seen in most parts of the country.

  5. The only way to know for sure is to get NFL Sunday Ticket. I know you probably think i'm being a smart *** but it really is the only way to ensure you are going to watch the game most important to you. Sometimes you might get lucky and get to watch an out of market game on your local station but you would pretty much have to be best friends the the station manager and ask him to show it for you. Most stations are going to show the game they feel is going to get the highest rating.
