How do you know which way your facial muscles are going?

i bought some thing to clean your face and the directions say to apply it the way your facial muscles are going.i need help because i don't know how i would know which way they are going.

im not sure which way they go but i have allways washed my face upwards as this stops wrinkles u dont want 2 be pulling ur face about 2 much
