How do you know you dont have a hdmi output on xbox 360?

i got a xbox 360 console made in 9-23-06

yours should have an HDMI output,  mine was made in 3-23-06 and i have the HDMI cord and it works fine

If you have an Hdmi Port it would be under neath the regular A/V port which allows component, composite or vga out put. Here is a picture.
