  2. i don't drink but can estimate,if a person have the control cap city and he behave normally then he may decide his capacity.

  5. Trial and error is how most folk figure it out.

    Of course you can find out privately.  Drink at home and have a friend observe and even video  your reactions after each drink.  Also invest in one of those portable breathalyser devices so you can see at what point you still feel okay but legally are considered impaired.  This will only work if you drink the same thing aswhen you go out also.

    Unfortunatley, this is not the same as social drinking and would take a lot of pre-planning and discipline to cover all the variables: pacing, how much food was/is consumed in proprtion to how much alcohol is consumed.; your body weight; how hydrated you are before and generally ; and your own tolerance.

    Or commit to a certain number of drinks for the evening, have the discipline to stick to it and play it safe and either get a cab for the evening or have a designated driver.

  7. You can buy little breathalizers at places like Sharper Image or Brookstone.   You can just blow into it and it will give you a fairly accurate reading of your blood alcohol.

    You can just figure it out based upon your weight.    Below is a blood alcohol calculator that you can use to figure out how many of what kind of drink you can drink and still be legal.  

    Or you can just drink two beers,   one glass of wine,  one mixed drink or one drink on the rocks and then stop.

  8. Just have a couple of drinks.  It's called discipline, something I did not have for many years and you suddenly lose count of how many you've had because you're trashed and want more until you're sick.  Now I just have 2 or 3 and I'm fine.

  13. It all depends on your ethnicity, if your Native American you usually have a low tolerance for liquor but if your say Irish you can hold it well. You could talk with a doctor or go onto Encyclopedia Britanica's Website

  15. It's all about testing your limitations, which often involves getting drunk at least once, but not neccesarily.  Take a shot of some hard liqueor, usually it won't be enough to leave you hammered, but enough to give you a buzz that you can reasonably measure your stamina from.

  16. If you ever feel the room start to spin STOP drinking. You're going to barf! Most people can drink 4 drinks in an evening and be at an ok drunk level. Plus you build up your tolerance over time. That's why some guys can drink a whole case of beer and not puke.

    lol... you can only learn by trying.  its also a matter of becoming tolerant.  My cousin hasn't drank since she had her kid 2 years ago.  She had a glass of wine at dinner and she was completely gone.  She used to be a big drinker till the kid and now shes loopy after one?

Assuming you can drink legally, take it slowly and have a sober friend along with you who can let you know how impaired you are.  (You should have a designated driver anyway unless you're staying the night.)  I like the way my first husband did it in college: he stayed standing and when he had to sit down, he took it as an indication that it was time to stop for a bit.  I would also use one of those weight charts to calculate an absolute upper limit that will keep you out of alcohol poisoning range.
