  1. The pump clicks off

  2. It shuts off.

  3. When yer feet feel wet. look down and if you see gasoline pouring out of the fill tube then it's full. This question has to be a joke. My two year old knows when the tank is full. Are you seriously that oblivious to your surroundings? Have you honestly never paid any attention to your surroundings? Were you raised in some remote village in the rain forest somewhere that they don't have cars? How embarrassing for you!

  4. it will kick out usually before it runs over but not always,i go by the sound of it,you,ll hear it coming up in the neck of the nozzle and this is a good time to slow down on filling it,good luck.

  5. Motorcycle:  You hold the nozzle far enough out that you can see into the tank.

  6. The gas pump used to turn its self off when the tank was full. But with the fuel prices so high its been a long time since I filled up my tank.

  7. it shuts off on its on .. so its no surprise your new to this car cause car owners know how much will fill there car up no matter were its at .. but unless your filling it up at a pump like sinclair or some hick pump in the desert id say just leave your car running it usually fills as you pump so you will see when it gets close and then turn off before it reaches full...
