How do you launch in an automatic car?

I know you can launch in a manual car, but is it possible to launch in an automatic and how?

  1. Power breaking- Hold the break down and the gas around 3/4 the way down at the same time, do this for around three or four seconds then rip your foot off of the break and floor it  


  2. neutral drop...I wouldn't recommend it for any reason though, better on it to just take your foot off the brake and floor it.

  3. Not really. You can put it in neutral, rev it up and drop it into drive, but that WILL break your transmission if you do it more than a few times.

    (Personal experience)

    You can hold down the break with your left foot, and mash the gas to the floor, and wait till the RPM's are as high as they'll go, and release the break. thats about all you can do, short of replace it with a stick.

  4. Keep it in low, hold the brakes and load the torque converter to above its stall speed. Go just before the last yellow light.
