I love her dance choreography since the Rhythm Nation era. She is such a dance innovator with her unique dancing.

  1. Honestly, the way I learned to dance her style was to watch her videos OVER and OVER.  Now when I was coming up I had to actually record the videos from MTV onto a VHS tape, hit rewind, the whole nine yards.  Now we have the wonderful invention of YOUTUBE!  Which makes searching for and learning choreography so much easier.

Here are a couple of my favorites:

This is a neat video with commentary from the choreographers and dancers:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoQdEzeSX...

I'd take them 8 counts at a time, then press pause.  Have the actual music nearby so you can practice to the music, as you add on 8 counts.  The key to her dancing is being sharp and hitting the moves.

Might also want to keep a lookout for any public master classes by her choreographers.  She has worked with people like Paula Abdul, Tina Landon, Michael Kidd, Anthony Thomas, Tyce Deorio...etc.

    Hope this helps!
