How do you learn to do the splits quickly?

i I've been dancing for 10 years now and still can't do the splits... I need to be able to do them by the end of August.....

  1. Practice them daily. And stretch a lot to gain more flexibility!

    PS: Dont exceed, you may get knee pain if you do so.

It doesnt take that long, do a few very good excercises, and you have to be competitive towards yourself, challenge yourself on where to stretch, then one day just go down, if youve stretched then if your hurt then you not damaged, but dont worry about the pain becuz the next few times you wont feel a thing

  4. what you need to do is stretch your muscles. when you go down to the splits go down as far as you can and hold that for 8 counts. pull your leg up as high as you can and hold there for 8 counts. just make sure you stretch you legs very well everyday and keep trying. You'll go down progressively further after a little while if you just stretch good every day

  5. Stretch your muscles everyday very, very well. Then go stand by a wall facing away about a foot from it and slowy move your leg up the wall(dont go farther than the limit you can now). As time progresses you will be able to do the full splits on the wall. I give it about 2 weeks, you should be like really super close to the ground around the 9th of August. hope this will help like it helped my dance team coach, if you need any more info contact me at my E-Mail.

  6. Try doing iy on a soft surface that you can sink into a little. Then try doing it on a harder surface. Just stretch , but dont push yourself too hard.
