How do you level up in metal gear online?

Im lvl zero and i cant figure out how to lvl up can anyone help??

just keep playing with the required stuff that you put on the skills. like to level up knife just just kill people with knife. i'm level 4 with level 2 knife and assualt but i have also been playing on automatching and it does take a while

The level system on MGO is really messed up.

If you play against higher level people and finish better than them - you gain level fast.

If you play against same level people and finish better than them - you gain level slowly.

If you play against lower level people and not finish in the top half - you lose a lot of level ( I messed up in one game and went down 2 level).

Just try and finish in the top half each round and you wont lose level at all.

If you're talking about leveling up skills then that's different.

Weapon skills - Just equip it and go kill people (same goes for non leathal weapons except you have to stun them).

The SOP based skills aka Narc,Mono,Six Sense,Trickster (probably more but thats all i remember) :

For Narc - find someone you know or a narc boost room and pair up with a person keep ur self look at a magazine and let someone keep shooting you in the head with tranq gun (the mag will restore your stamina while the tranq take it out).

For Mono - Just equip and play, this one is easy to level up.

Six Sense and Trickster - Best way is to go to any games that host in Urban Ultimatum and equip claymore, climb into the vent and plant 3 claymore in front of you and move over it to pick it up and repeat. You will master both skills in about 30 minutes.

Quarterback, Runner, etc - You just have to equip and play, it will go up eventually.

Keep in mind that once one of your skill go up to level 2, you must change the selection to level 2 if you want to move to level 3.
