How do you lift a broken slate pool table?

the legs were broken and the table collapsed. the table is resting on the legs. the table and the legs are in good shape, but the bracjketing that held them together is broken. we want to find a safe way to lift it and keep it up whie we fix it! thanks in advance

  1. 2 or 3 STRONG saw horses if you mean just while your working on it


  2. I would gather five or six strong friends at the house after you purchase some cinder blocks. Lift one end of the table up far enough to slide the blocks under each side. Do the same at the other end. Repeat the process one block at time on each end until the table has been elevated high enough so the bottom of the legs are NOT touching the floor. You should be able to repair the leg support system from there. Removing the blocks will be a much simpler task. Just reverse the process of installing them.

  3. It's probably just as easy as getting a few strong friends together and moving it. But you might want to try to disassemble as much as you safely can first and, while you're disassembling, make sure there are people around to support the other parts of the table and tell you if something else is about to collapse.
