How do you light a candle?

I always find that when I try to light it, the fire runs up the match, and the wick does not light, even if it catches a flame.

  1. it depends on the candle, try candles with longer wicks...or longer matches!! bbq matches are great for any tricky candle!!

  2. There are gas lighters (they are stick like things) where you press this button and the light up. They are really safe.

  3. I have the same problem when I'm not wearing my reading glasses.

After six tries, one candle I found in the drawer simply refused to ignite, so in frustration I took in out to the garage and fired up my plasma welder.........

    *WHOOOF.*

That got that lil sucker going Ha hahaha.

Next day my girl said, "Where's Mr buzzy?

    Oops.

    .

  4. Make sure you break off the (dead part) of the wick first. Light you match or lighter first, slightly tilt your candle, then try lighting it. This usually works for me.

  5. Try using a lighter instead of matches.
