Question:

How do you like Andy Roddick's chances of beating Nadal if they play at Wimbledon?

Andy has been playing pretty well this year, although he was injured for awhile. With his big serve, he's gotta be one of the favorites. That said, Nadal appears to be "the man" at the moment. What do you think of this potential match-up?

  1. he's soo winning wimbledon this year.-

  2. ZERO!  Don't get me wrong, I love Andy, but Nadal looks sharp.  At the beginning of the season, I thought Federer had a chance to win his first French, now I think Nadal is going to win Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.  He looks amazing on grass.  I saw a cool ad for an exhibition Nadal and Federer played in the offseason on a specially made court that was half grass and half clay and Nadal won easily.  Granted it was just an exhibition, but it  kinda was a foreshadowing of what might be going down this season.  I once thought Nadal had no chance of becoming #1 because by the time Federer slowed down, Djokovic would be ready to take over, but Raffa surprised me by raising his game.

  3. i think roddick can win it he was playing excellent tennis before he hurt his sholder and once he gets some matches under his belts i reckon he can beat nadal but it would be a tough match

  4. I like Andy.. But from the way he played in the 1st round, compare to Nadal, i gotta be honest, his chances are quite slim.. Nadal is really improving, and it seems that now he is quite comfortable with grass...

Again, i really don't want federer to win again, and the man who actually can beat federer right now is nadal..

    70 - 30 to nadal...

  5. I'm a huge Andy fan, and Nadal is the player I hate most.

I think Andy could win if he is playing good tennis and he is like 60-40 percent in fitness and concentration. I really cheer for Andy but if both of them play at 50-50 I'd say Nadal wins in 4 or 5 sets... Andy either needs to hit the ball better than he did at Stella Artois or hope that Nadal comes on court with tied hands

  6. nadal will beat him

  7. I don't think he can beat Nadal, but there is a chance, well always there is, but I wouldn't bet on it. Although I would like to see Federer vs Roddick final:) Lets wait and see, would be nice  for me, but unfortunately I doubt it:(

  8. For me Nadal had a slightly edge at the moment but Roddick could upset Nadal if he is in top form. 60-40 slightly to Nadal.

  9. nope he cant cause nadal will lose in 2nd round....

  10. Rafa will win for sure :)! He beat Roddick pretty convincinly at Queens. :P! Vamos

  11. I like Andy's chances a lot!  It's three out of five sets, and I think I was the only one that was actually relieved that Djokovic was on Federer's side of the draw and not Andy.

Andy is very dangerous at Wimbledon, and I think that if he makes it to the semi-finals, then he will beat Nadal.

  12. is there a value less than 0%?

    lol

Rafa rules., #1 in my opinion.

No way Roddick wins that match up.

  13. Are you like crazy? Andy has like zero chance against Nadal. Roddick sucks and the only thing he has is his serve which obviously is not enough anymore these days. Big serve don't mean anything, especially if the rest of your game sucks and Andy Roddick is never a favorite at any grandslam event anymore. He will fall in the 3rd round or 4th.

  14. I think he has a good chance. Their last battle wasnt a beating at all, and Roddick had only just come back into play.

So for you guys who are extremely confident in Nadal, please wake up. But Nadal won't make the finals anyway.

  15. Roddick didn't do anything wrong when they met at the Queen's tournament a week before Wimbledon and still lost to Nadal.  I don't think he can do anything to hurt Nadal.  Roddick's biggest weapon is his serve, but I doubt he can get a 100% first serves in.
