  1. Very much, thanks for asking.

  2. I was not ever excited about being an insurance agent, I was successful because I accepted it as a challenge. But it eventually took a toll on my health, had to go on medical retirement. I was Life Millionaire and Chartered Financial Consultant, but any job can get to you if you don't really like it. It paid well but it is much more difficult to make a living now than it was 20 years ago. Alot of pressure, but many of my friends are still agents. I would strongly advise you to visit with agents that have worked for the company you are considering and see how they like it.

  3. I love the days when you can teach the client something & actually help them.

If you sell only on need & affordability - it's rewarding.

I've worked for some companies who are high-pressure sales and don't care if the person can afford or need what you're selling! I hated that!

The agency I'm at currently does NOT!

I hate the days when the rates go UP due to the state (NC just had a MAJOR homeowners raise in rates in the coastal areas!) and you spend all of your time responding to

"Why did my insurance go up?"

  4. Its tough getting started, but once you get past the first 2-3 years, its great. I wouldn't change my career for anything!

  5. I like it
