First of all, congratulations!  That's so exciting that you and your husband are thinking about having a baby soon.  

I love the names Jacob and James, but I don't really like them together because of the double J sounds.  Also, I'm not sure if it matters to you, but Jacob has been the #1 boys' name in the U.S. for nine years now, so if you name your son Jacob, he might have a lot of friends and classmates with the same name.  Caleb James has a similar sound, and while over 23,000 baby boys were named Jacob last year, less than 11,000 were named Caleb.  You can look at the US social security website to see how popular the names are that you're considering, if their popularity is a consideration.  Here's the link:

For the girls' name, I absolutely adore Catherine.  I'm not fond of Delaney, but that's just a personal preference.  I can see why it sounds like a great name.  Your taste and your husband's taste is what matters, of course, but here are a few names I like that I think have a similar sound:

James is one of the disciples and has a distinctive sound to it, but not Jimmy. Cathrine can be spelled in so many ways, but it has a royal ring to it. These are my favorites. Peace!!!

I love them both. Jacob James sounds like a movie star or something. Delaney Cathrine is unique because of Delaney yet classic because of Cathrine. Nice choices.
