or Maternea . It is not a real name , I had a dream one night in regards to english / spanish translation of "maternal gestures" (long story)

And when I woke I thought...."Hey that would be a cool name for a girl"

Mah-Tur-Nee-Yah My applied meaning would be "Mother-like" or "Maternal"

It's kind of cool, but honestly, I find it a little weird to give a kid a name that clearly means "motherly" lol.  Of course, it would be fine when she's grown up and possibly a mother herself, but on a kid, I don't know lol.  At least it sounds pretty, and for a made-up name, not bad at all lol.  Still, I'd definitely prefer something like Mattea or Matilda instead haha.
