How do you load a kayak onto a cay by yourself?

Well if you are under 5'5'' spend the money for a hulllovator by Thule. (pronounced tooly) If you are over that go to ***** and buy some foam blocks. pick boat up, put it over your head and slide onto car. If you cant accomplish that. Kayak with a friend who can help you out. anyone under 5 8 I put their kayaks on their car. If the boat is a whitewater boat. Just throw it in your car. I know a goy who puts a wavesprt x in his 2006 mustang!

Thule makes a product called the "roller coaster", which are essentially some cleverly designed rollers that go on the rear most cross bar on your kayak rack.  If you can get the nose started and loaded up on those, it's a lot easier to push the kayak up onto the top of the car, and it helps keep from doing any damage to the car's exterior in the process.
