How do you locate somebody on the Internet?

There are all sorts of avenues to take.  First, try googling them.  Yes, a lot of people will pop up and you will have to sort through them.  If that doesn't work, try Myspace.  Sometimes it helps.  Lastly, there are places online that locates people, but usually you have to pay.  Don't give up!

another option is, you could try Facebook, and search for their name. and then if it's a popular name, you may have to go through all the profiles.

I've tried this before, I've searched for them on myspace and the yellowpages. My best advice would probably me to use the white pages and yellow pages, or even try googling, I found people using the white pages even in other countries
