How do you locate someone if all you have is their name & approximate age?

If you have their first and last name and you know where they live in the USA you can try searching superpages.com

If it's the first and last name, you're probably in luck, especially if the name isn't too common.  A few things to think about:  

1. Google the person with their name in quotes, like "Dilemma Time."  Often times that's a great way to start.  

2. MySpace and Facebook each have people search functions that work off first and last name.  Enter the name, hit 'Search' and see what comes up.  

3. Yeah, you can try a whitepages.com search or something like that, too.  But I've found those sources are sometimes less than reliable as people move but old information lives on.
