Question:

How do you look through the door's "peephole"?

I have two questions concerning this:

1) when you look, do you close one of your eyes, or you keep both open?

2) when you look, do you always use the same eye, or you alternate?

For me:

1) I always close one of my eyes and look with the other

2) I always use my right eye

Concerning point (2), sometimes I'd try to look through with my left eye, and then I'd notice a big difference in the brightness I perceive. Why is this? Does anybody else have the same problem and noticed this?

  1. iGUY - there is a device that you can buy (it looks like half of a binocular and is small enough to hold in your hand) that you put over the door's peephole from the OUTSIDE to see inside.  The device enables you to see CLEARLY through the peephole.

If you're serious, you can probably find it in a supply catalog for police or private investigators (I think it's called a reverse peep).
