It's only when you speak. You do sound pretty hilarious and it's nearly inevitable that you will laugh , which sounds even funnier. Practically everyone ends up giggling like a loon.

IF YOU DO not suck exclusively heliul  without oxygen , you do not harm your brain. Helium is inert gas

Helium is completely non toxic.

However, you can suffocate yourself.
