How do you lower the front end on a vw beetle the old school way?

I have a 64 beetle that has been lowered, and then the rear end was raised back up.  How can I raise the front back up to stock or near-stock height?  This car does not have aftermarket spindles, it appears to have some kind of adjustment available in the middle of the beams.
