  1. what kind of boa would help.  there are all kinds of boas.  if it is a heavy bodied boa and you aren't scared of it the best way to pick it up is to have a plastic box ready (walmart or target) with holes drilled in it for airflow.  put that on the ground next to the snake.  then moving slowly go from behind and put your hand under the middle  part of the snake then if the snake isn't agitated you can put your other hand somewhere under the top third of the snake and lift it and put it in the box then put the lid on the box.  if the snake is agitated or tries to get away when you put the first hand under the middle of the snake then as the snake tries to get away keep the first hand under the snake and then put your second hand under the middle of the snake let the snake move through your hands as you lift the snake into the box.  if you can have a second person with you to put the lid on that would be good espically if the snake is agitated a second person would be helpful.  after the snake is in the box take it to a reptile shop if it is someones pet they will go to the reptile shop to see if anyone brought in their pet.

  2. You can lure it by putting a small mouse in a wire cage it can't get into.  The snake will go to the mouse (unless it has wild ones to catch) when it gets hungry.

As for catching - I'd recommend wearing gloves, and just grabbing it near the head, if it's aggressive.

If it's wild... carry it away from the house an release it.

If it's your escaped pet - put it back in the tank and get better locks or ratchet straps.

If it's some one else's escaped pet - list on area sites, put up notices at church/local stores, etc., and get it back to its worried owner.

    Good luck.

  3. Is it your boa?  Or is it a wild one that somehow manage to get into your apartment?

Either way...I would call someone, maybe a vet, or animal control.  I would not try to do it yourself.

    Good luck!
