  1. It is very simple.  If you are in the U.S., you can look on Usps site for the correct postage.  or , you can just take your letter to the post office for the correct postage.  Depending on where you send it, a normal sized, one ounce letter costs between 69 cents and 94 cents to mail to another country.  On the site below, just find the country you need on the list and it will then tell you the "group" that country is in...then you can look on the graph to see what the postage is.

Edit:  I don't know if the 1st answerer is trying to pull your leg or not...but please do not take his answer seriously!

  2. don't forget to write address and post code, go to post office, buy stamp, finish.

  3. You put your letter in an envelope, address it correctly, bring it to a post office for the appropriate stamp, pay for the stamp, put it in the letterbox, and it's done!

Bizarre, seeing this question. But then these are the times ..... I am old enough to have written many letters in my time.

  4. Your best bet to make sure you address it right and it actually gets there is to put the letter in a blank envelope, seal it and go to the post office. Bring the address, a pen and money with you! The workers there can DEFINITELY help you address it correctly and they will put the proper, current postage on it for you. International postage rates can change, so you want to make sure to get this info from the post office to be sure your letter makes it to its destination!

  5. You put it in an envelope, address it, let's say London, you go to an airport and fly to London, go to the post office and get a British stamp (the US stamps don't work in London when you put a letter in a British Mail Box), and mail the letter.

I am surprised you could not figure that out yourself. By the way, that's why people complain about the high cost of mailing a letter overseas.

  6. Just put your letter or documents in the envelope (preferably airmail envelope).  Write the name and address of the receiver (person who's going to get it) at the center of the envelope.  Don't forget to include the country and zip code (if any).  Write your name (or sender's name) and address at the top left corner of the envelope.

Go to your post office and ask how much does it cost to send the mail to the destination country of the receiver. Pay for the stamps and stick it on the top right corner of the envelope.  Then drop it at the correct mail slot.  Just ask your post office personnel how to do it and they will help you.

And don't mind the first answer.  Good Luck.
