How do you mail a letter to canada from the US?

how would i do that? can i just mail it like we do here in the states or do i need a special stammp...or how many stamps do i need? i'm just mailing a letter.

  1. Go to the post office and tell them that you are mailing a letter overseas and they will weigh the letter and tell you how much it costs. You have to put a "air mail" stamp on it also.


  2. You can take it to the post office--they can weigh and tell you how much postage it needs.

    Or you can go to usps.com follow the steps for Calculate Postage then Calculate International Postage. That should tell you how much postage to put on it.

  3. you will most likely need a 69-cent stamp (or stamps adding up to 69 cents) to get the letter to Canada...unless it is of unusual shape, size or weight.

  4. The easiest way to mail any letter internationally is to take it to your local post office.  Since the cost varies depending on the weight of the envelope they can weigh it and tell you what it will cost, then sell you the stamp(s) necessary.

  5. You can go to the post office and ask them how much it will cost.  The regular stamps that you use for mail within the US will work as long as you put enough on.  You can go the the USPS website and it will tell you exactly how much you need to put on it.
