Question:

How do you maintain the quality of a volleyball?

There are times when my volleyball gets wet because of the rain (it's usually rains a lot here in my country) or it gets wet because of damp and wet floors. When this happens, my ball gets too heavy for play and drops to the floor quickly.

I don't really want to buy a new volleyball just because of this problem so I want to know what you need to do to get my volleyball in top condition. And of course, how to maintain it's quality. Thanks in advance! :D

  1. If you're playing outside, use an outdoor (beach) volleyball.  They're more resistant to water damage.

If you're inside and there's enough water on the floor to damage a ball, there's more than enough water to make the floor slippery and cause an injury.  Forget about damage to your ball, worry about damage to your ankles, knees, and back.

  2. Keep them away from water.

You may use leather treatment from time to time to clean them up.

  3. hey there im a volleyball varcity player here at lomalinda high we keep our volleyballs new buy cleaning them with a wet ragg and alcohol then we wipe them with water never soke a volleyball in water it will ruin it
