How do you maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

We usually go out to dinner once a week, watch a game, guzzle a few brews.  I have to keep him away from Jaeger though, he gets mean and starts smiting people when he drinks too much of that.

I twirl around till I'm really really dizzy then I drink a quart of peach schnapps. I'll believe anything then and that's how I maintain my personal relationship with the Jesus.

Jn. 14:6 - Jesus says: "I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no man comes to the Father but through Me."

Deut. 30:10-20 says that "God has called heaven and earth against us - He has set before us life and death, blessing and cursing - that you and your descendants may live; therefore choose life - that you may (1) 'Love the Lord your God' (2) 'Obey His Voice' (3) and 'Cling to Him' - for He is your life and the length of your days."

2 Tim 2:15 "Study to shew yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Mark 16:15 Jesus said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature".



Matt. 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

By the Grace of God - I maintain my personal relationship with Jesus Christ by Loving Him-(with all my heart, mind, soul and strength); by Obeying His Voice {the Holy Spirit), and by Clinging to Him {through prayer and worship); I obey Him out of love by studying His Word to personally get to know Him better; to know His will for my life and I share the gospel with others because I love the Lord and wish others to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Rom 8:14-17 - "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out,  'Abba, Father.'  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,  and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."

By Studying His Word.

By going to a bible believing church.

I continually desire to walk in obedience to God's law. I do not live in sin. If I happen to sin I confess it immediately so that he remains in me and with me. It is that simple.

When I was in the army we had to go over the same thing two or three times a month. We had to do this so we would not forget the important things that would protect us and other people in combat. To stay in a relationship with our Lord we have to stay prayed up and study His word often. This helps us to overcome temptation in life and keeps us save from the evil world around us. Reading the word of God,praying and giving God

Literally every day I approach Jesus in prayer to renew our relationship, be one with Him as he is with the father, to be cleansed of sin, and to put on the whole armour of God.  I've found spiritual warfare to be overwhelming when I don't.  When I do, I experience peace and power.

By reading the Bible and praying daily, fellow-shipping with other Christians, praising God and learning as much as I can about Him.  It is a daily walk.  I depend on Him and the harder the times are the more I depend on Him.  He has always been there for me and will never let me go.

First by daily Prayer, Bible study and using the Spiritual gifts given me when I accepted him as my personal Savior to bring the lost back to him.

How can one have a relationship without communication? I know Jesus walks with me and is always with me. He will never leave me. I am always a work in progress and I need the Lord's help. But the Lord is always there..........in my heart!

For me praying is the best way to keep your relationship with god alive. Without prayer it would be like saying hi to a friend when you pass by him, but praying is like having an in depth conversation where you can say anything that needs to be said.

Also, going to church and singing worship songs, is a great way to praise God.

Also, spreading the word is a great way to get more people to have a relationship with God.

It's been tough since the kids came along, but we make time for each other and try to have a "date night" once a week.

Like any other relationship..touch base frequently..remember to tell him i love him..remember to be thankful for him being in my life. Do the things he asks of me..live by his example..when i'm not busy being me..ha
