  1. slightly warm about 1/8 cup milk and mix in about a table spoon of sugar, maybe two.

    beat two eggs and add the sugar milk mixture.  dip your bread in the egg mixture and let it soak up the mixture.

    in a warm pan, with melted butter or oil or whatever you have add the 'wet' bread and brown on both sides.

    sprinkle with sugar and syrup and enjoy!

  2. Beat two eggs with a bit of milk. Dip the bread in the egg mixture. Heat a skillet, put the egg soaked bread in hot pan, flip, sprinkle with sugar....

  3. Ingredients:

        * 4 eggs

        * 1 teaspoon sugar, optional

        * 1 teaspoon salt

        * 1 cup milk

        * bread

        * butter

        * maple syrup or other syrup

    Preparation:

    Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl or pie plate; beat lightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, salt, and milk.

    Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with a thin layer of butter or margarine.

    Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl or plate, letting slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side. Soak/coat only as many slices as you will be cooking at one time.

    Transfer bread slices to griddle or skillet, heating slowly until bottom is golden brown. Turn and brown the other side. Serve French toast hot with butter and syrup.

    Recipe for French toast serves 4.

  4. I use 2 eggs, beaten, with a small amount of milk (maybe a tablespoon or so) and 1/4-1/2 teaspoon vanilla. The vanilla makes a big difference. Otherwise it tastes like scrambled egg bread/toast.

  5. Whip one egg together with 1/2 cup of milk.

    Dip the bread into the egg/milk mixture then place on hot skillet, turning until each side is nicely browned.

    Top with butter, powdered sugar, and cinnamon.

  6. FRENCH TOAST

    3 eggs, beaten

    1/4 cup milk

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla, optional

    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    10 slices bread

    In a large bowl, mix beaten eggs with the milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Dip a slice of bread into mixture then place on a heated griddle that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side on medium / medium-high heat or until desired doneness.

    Serving Size: 4

  7. bread, mik, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, butter

  8. Josh's recipe looks great.  You could cut that in half if you are only making this for one person.  I sprinkle cinnamon on the top of the bread just after you put it in the pan.  Also, if you have any vanilla, a dash of that in the egg mixture is really good.  Next time you make french toast, get some texas toast, it is a thicker bread and makes awesome french toast.
